Andrea Byrum works on curriculum and faculty development to provide a global perspective for Edgewood students. She has traveled to Latin America, Spain, Thailand, and Vietnam. Besides being Faculty Co-Director of the Center, she teaches courses on the Spanish language, culture, and literature and enjoys taking students abroad. She chairs the Global Perspectives Subcommittee. Her research interests include global education and contemporary film and literature of Spain and Latin America.

Sara Friar works with both study abroad and international student services, and also serves as the advisor to the International Club. She has studied abroad in Mexico and Spain and taught English in Lima, Peru for a year. Sara is an alumna of Edgewood College with a bachelor of arts in Spanish and Psychology and is currently working on a master’s degree in International Education from the School for International Training.

Nicole is a UW-Madison graduate student working on her Master’s in International Higher Education. She studied and interned abroad in Germany. Last fall she worked as a practicum student in CGE and has now joined our professional staff as a Program Assistant.
